The senior manager will oversee the full lifecycle of cost management, from early budgeting and cost planning to final account closeout. Responsibilities include monitoring actuals versus forecasts, managing change orders, providing strategic procurement advice, delivering executive‑level cost reports, tracking contingencies, driving value‑engineering initiatives and maintaining benchmarking data. The role also requires participation in risk workshops, compliance with financial systems and, where applicable, adherence to SOX controls.
The firm is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre construction projects in the Atlanta metro area. This client‑facing role involves collaborating with design teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure cost control, risk mitigation and value optimisation throughout all project phases.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline and have 6‑10+ years of progressive cost management or project controls experience, preferably on large‑scale data centre or high‑tech projects. Required expertise includes cost planning, budgeting, financial reporting, procurement strategies, contract administration and value‑engineering techniques. RICS accreditation, strong leadership, communication and analytical skills, and proficiency with industry‑standard cost management software are advantageous.
