  • Design electrical systems and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure design accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
  • Specify and design systems incorporating Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
  • Manage the full design lifecycle-from concept development to final documentation.
  • Select and specify components such as circuit breakers, relays, contactors, and motor starters.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Provide technical support during the design phase and assist with documentation.
  • Design control panels and ensure seamless integration with field devices.

We are looking for a skilled and detail-driven Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Hopedale, MA. This is a full-time, on-site role focused solely on electrical design-ideal for professionals who enjoy seeing projects through from initial concept to final documentation, without involvement in programming.

  • Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and other relevant design tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage design tasks from start to finish.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and best practices.
  • Experience with power distribution and performing load calculations.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC), UL508A, and other applicable standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in specifying control components and systems.
  • Experience in generating Bill of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical design, particularly within industrial automation.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC and HMI systems, especially Allen Bradley.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
