As Manufacturing Engineering Manager for the new campus that will house both Marley and Ingenia Technologies, you will oversee development and implementation of manufacturing processes for both businesses. The role requires ensuring safety, efficiency, quality and cost‑effectiveness while leading a team of engineers in a fast‑pace environment.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Services and be responsible for process development, team management, collaboration, continuous improvement, compliance, budget oversight, and providing technical support.
The position offers exposure to a variety of responsibilities, including leading projects, designing lean cells, managing cost estimates, maintaining equipment, improving quality, and coordinating new product launches.
- Develop and implement safe manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance sustainability.
- Lead the manufacturing engineering team, supervise engineers, and support their career development.
- Design lean manufacturing cells using advanced operations design and simulation tools.
- Estimate production costs and efficiency.
- Oversee maintenance, repair, and replacement of production and facility equipment.
- Implement strategies to improve quality and productivity.
- Coordinate with design and manufacturing teams on new product launch industrialization.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety and design standards.
- Develop operational budgets and control costs within budget.
- Stay current with latest manufacturing technologies and systems.
- Create a manufacturing operations excellence roadmap, including Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Establish production QC control plans, job safety analyses, and lean designs.
- Manage a $15M capital budget and achieve 5% COGS cost‑out targets.

We seek candidates with at least ten years of experience managing manufacturing engineering functions, strong leadership and project‑management skills, and solid knowledge of best practices, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Ideal candidates bring continuous‑improvement expertise, Six Sigma Black Belt certification, experience with greenfield or brownfield startups, and a background in automated sheet‑metal fabrication, welding, painting and large‑scale assembly.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, is required, and relevant certifications are a plus.
The role may require occasional travel to Ingenia headquarters, QC Canada, and Kansas City, and work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Minimum 10 years experience managing manufacturing engineering functions.
- Proven experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role.
- Experience with SolidWorks and data analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices and industry standards.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Experience in continuous‑improvement (CI) environments.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Experience with greenfield or brownfield startup projects.
- Experience working in a matrixed campus environment.
- Experience with new machine acquisition and validation (SAT, FAT).
- Background in automated sheet‑metal fabrication, welding, painting, and large‑scale assembly.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Occasional travel to Ingenia headquarters, QC Canada, and Kansas City.
