As a P6 Planning Manager, you’ll work closely with Water Director, Design Teams, Commercial, and Project Management Teams to create and manage detailed Primavera P6 programmes for infrastructure and utility projects. You’ll play a key role in risk management, progress reporting, resource planning and ensuring programme integrity across multidisciplinary project portfolios.
Coordinate with design, engineering, project and commercial teams to ensure accurate progress tracking.
Drive continuous improvement in programme management and reporting tools.
Develop, maintain, and control detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
Recruit, train and mentor junior planners and project teams on planning best practice.
Lead programme review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Expert user of Primavera P6 with proven ability to manage complex programmes
Experience supporting digital delivery initiatives and BIM integration

Our Water Infrastructure team is seeking a skilled P6 Planning Manager to lead the development, coordination, and control of project programmes across major design and build schemes. You’ll ensure that complex projects are planned, monitored, and delivered on time and within budget.
Strong understanding of NEC contract planning requirements
Strong understanding of 4D planning and scheduling (Desirable)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline
Proficiency in cost and resource-loaded programme management
10+ years’ experience in project planning within the infrastructure or utilities sector
Experience in the UK Water or Utilities sector
Experience in collaborative planning and facilitation.
Experience supporting large-scale D&B or framework delivery programmes
Knowledge of Power BI or data visualisation for programme reporting
Ability to interpret complex technical data into actionable plans
