By partnering with municipalities, businesses, and farms, we reduce the cost and carbon footprint of organic waste by producing renewable electricity, renewable natural gas, fertilizers, and soil amendments that reduce the need for fossil fuel-based chemical fertilizers.
The Waste Study Sorter will support a week‑long waste audit by sorting bagged waste into designated containers at an outdoor workstation. The role involves opening bags, quickly identifying items, placing them into the correct bins, and performing a brief cleanup at the end of each shift. Work periods are 2‑4 hours per day and require standing and moving outdoors.
The temporary position is located in Seattle, WA, running from January 26 to February 1, 2026, with a pay rate of $25 per hour plus a daily $25 meal allowance.
