Hook-Up Engineer

Description

You’ll work closely with fabrication yards, T&I teams, and various engineering disciplines to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective project delivery.

We are seeking a Junior Hook-Up Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will coordinate and supervise all engineering activities related to offshore hook-up projects from bid and preparatory phases to offshore execution.

• Contribute to engineering reviews (constructability, 3D model, HAZID, etc.) and provide hook-up inputs.
• Interface with Fabrication (internal or external yards) and T&I teams for scope definition and management of carry-over works.
• Support the Hook-Up Manager in tracking engineering activities across home office, yard, and site.
• Liaise with Planning and Control teams for Job Card preparation and document control.
• Prepare marine spread specifications, evaluate bids, and ensure efficient vessel scheduling and suitability.
• Collect and review red-marked engineering documents for As-Built drawing preparation.
• Participate in developing multi-disciplinary hook-up procedures and project documentation.
• Coordinate and support all hook-up engineering activities during the bid, preparation, and execution phases.
• Prepare and review drawings, MTOs, job cards, and constructability studies.
• Define subcontract scopes and assist in technical bid evaluations related to hook-up activities.

Requirements

• Knowledge of marine spread operations, engineering documentation, and constructability reviews.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fresh graduates or engineers with less than 2 years of experience
• Strong understanding of offshore construction, hook-up, and installation processes.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Willingness to travel offshore and work in yard or site environments as required.
