- Support collections and cash flow optimization through proactive communication and problem-solving.
- Oversee project setup, billing, and closeout processes, ensuring accuracy of financials and alignment with contract terms.
- Champion compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
- Facilitate training for project teams on financial best practices and tools.
- Lead and mentor the Project Accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Resolve complex billing and budgeting issues with agility and sound judgment.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership to analyze project financials and provide actionable insights.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as the Consultants Payable and Controllership teams to resolve workflow, budgeting, and payment issues, ensuring accurate financial reporting and smooth collaboration across departments.
- Drive improvements in systems, processes, and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and scalability.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing and motivating teams.
- 5-10+ years of progressive experience in project accounting within the architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Deltek Vantagepoint/Vision is a plus.
- High attention to detail, organizational strength, and a proactive mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust across departments.
