

Key responsibilities include locating datums and aging points on castings, forgings, and components; inspecting production parts and sub‑assemblies with mechanical and electronic methods; marking guidelines for material removal; performing floor and machine inspections on vertical boring mills, radial drills, laser machines, water jets, and lathes; conducting bench inspections of machined rings, forgings, castings, sub‑assemblies, and assemblies; visually and dimensionally inspecting welds before fluorescent penetrant testing; and writing rework procedures for non‑conforming parts.
The role requires a high school diploma and prefers candidates who can read and interpret technical documents, write routine reports, communicate effectively, perform basic math, apply common‑sense instructions, solve problems, demonstrate mechanical aptitude, and proficiently use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, PI tapes, and coordinate measuring machines.
