Assist project management teams and EPC teams for the development of the scope of work and design requirements for substation engineering projects.
Provide development schedules and documentation to track and ensure teams are meeting milestones to support the organization
Participate in various company teams and industry organizations to enhance ET's system protection performance
Provide expert technical support to design team for development and application of process improvements
Independently develop best practice procedures for EPC projects using applicable construction standards.
Coordinates with the turnover of the new protection facilities to the Operations and Maintenance Team(s) to enable a seamless transition into commercial operations.
Identify deviations of standard practices and develop/recommend improvements to existing processes to increase productivity
Evaluate and recommend applications and methods considering all stakeholders input to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency
Assist EPC partners by answering questions related to design packages and providing guidance on design and/or construction plans.

Understanding of AC/DC fundamentals, including an understanding of three-phase power systems.
Equally effective with working independently or in a team environment.
Understanding of data communications.
Proficient with MicroStation or equivalent CAD software.
Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
Experience as a relay technician installing, commissioning, and maintaining protection systems.
Experience with developing system protection design drawing packages.
Experience in training development and implementation.
Understanding the principles of transmission and distribution relay protection.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from ES-E9, Wl-CWS, or 03-06, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above/below).
7+ years of relevant work experience in a technical role with a preferred Bachelor Degree (or 9+ years of relevant work experience in a technical role with an Associate Degree)
Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
Strong time management skills with the ability to independently plan and organize work assignments.
