The Director of Quality will define and execute the company’s quality strategy, ensuring products and processes meet regulatory standards, customer expectations and internal performance goals. The role partners with operations, engineering, supply chain and product safety to drive root‑cause problem solving, improve reliability and reduce defects while fostering a culture of excellence and proactive risk mitigation.
- Streamline and improve quality policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Integrate technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Product Safety, and Procurement across product development.
- Develop and maintain ISO 9001‑compliant documentation and manage internal audits and certifications (CSA, ASME, PED, etc.).
- Lead the global Quality team and coordinate with geography managers.
- Coach and develop quality professionals worldwide.
- Provide direction for complex problem investigations and solution development.
- Stay current on quality, reliability, and agency developments via external contacts.
- Apply continual improvement tools (DMAIC, 5S+1, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Lean, etc.) using data analysis and statistics.
- Define quality and reliability metrics for New Product Development and gate reviews.

- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years as a plant quality manager.
- Additional 5 years leading enterprise‑wide QMS in large, global, matrixed organizations.
- Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean methodologies.
- Strong project‑management skills and tools proficiency.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
- Experience advising senior leadership and influencing cross‑functional teams.
- Proven problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and data‑driven decision making.
- Willingness to travel up to 50 % internationally.
- Advanced degree (MBA or MS in Quality/Engineering) preferred.
- ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE) or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- Experience with supplier quality, incoming inspection, and vendor development preferred.
