Senior Document Controller

Description

• Develop and implement document control procedures and best practices
• Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• Train and mentor junior document control staff
• Oversee the daily activities of the document control team to ensure accurate document management
• Support project reporting requirements by preparing document status reports and metrics
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure document integrity and compliance
• Manage the creation, revision, distribution, and archiving of project and corporate documents
• Maintain and administer document control systems, including electronic and physical filing systems
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure document flow and traceability

Requirements

• Proficiency with document management software (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, Documentum).
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in training and supervising junior staff.
• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in document control, preferably in industries such as construction, oil & gas, engineering, or manufacturing.
• Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of document control standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 9001).
