The Process Engineering Technician – Night Shift reports to the Engineering Manager and earns $23 per hour. This role acts as the first responder to all process defects and failures, using troubleshooting guides, maintaining the QN database, recording changes in the Change Log, and providing input to the Process Engineer for defect elimination. The technician also trains staff on process changes, assists with tooling inventories, supports trials and projects, and ensures compliance with the plant’s Quality Management System and safety procedures.
Candidates must hold an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent technical experience, with a minimum of five years in an optical fiber or cable manufacturing facility. A Six‑Sigma Green Belt is preferred, and applicants should be proficient in at least two optical cable manufacturing processes and complete required on‑the‑job training promptly.
The ideal applicant is an analytical technical problem solver who meets objectives with minimal supervision, works well in a team, and maintains a professional, positive attitude. They should quickly learn new technical skills, be results‑oriented, document work carefully, prioritize in a rapidly changing environment, communicate effectively with technical and operations personnel, and be willing to work overtime, holidays, and flexible hours.
