The Project Engineer will design and coordinate multidisciplinary projects from feasibility studies through regulatory approvals and permitting, develop site layouts including grading, storm drainage, roadways, and utility infrastructure, and prepare hydrology and hydraulic calculations in compliance with NYSDEC stormwater and SWPPP requirements. The role also involves project administration tasks such as report writing, proposal preparation, cost tracking, and progress reporting, as well as providing cost estimates and specifications for public bids. The engineer will collaborate with internal engineering and architectural teams, communicate directly with clients, and ensure on‑time, on‑budget, high‑quality technical delivery.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, possess strong skills in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Autoturn, Excel, and Photoshop, and have 5–10 years of relevant experience, particularly in site development or municipal engineering projects. A thorough understanding of Long Island entitlement processes, civil engineering principles, public infrastructure design, and the public bidding process is required. Applicants should be self‑motivated, able to work independently or within teams, demonstrate effective oral and written communication, and hold or be working toward EIT/PE certification.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000 annually, with final compensation determined by experience, specialty, education, and other relevant factors.
