We are seeking a Technology Procurement Manager to shape a disciplined, secure, and cost‑effective technology ecosystem that supports our growing business. This role sits at the intersection of IT, Security, Legal, and Finance, influencing how technology vendors are selected, governed, and renewed across the firm.
The manager will own the end‑to‑end technology procurement lifecycle, focusing on SaaS, cloud services, and hardware. Responsibilities include contract management from sourcing to off‑boarding, building a renewal roadmap, identifying cost‑optimization opportunities, benchmarking pricing and licensing models, and developing financial models such as TCO and ROI. The role also leads quarterly business reviews, ensures vendor compliance with security and privacy standards, conducts due‑diligence, and mitigates contractual and operational risks.
Leadership duties involve mentoring and training staff, defining clear expectations, and delegating based on team members’ abilities. The manager will collaborate with IT, Engineering, Design Technology, and business stakeholders, lead negotiations with senior vendor representatives, and continuously improve procurement processes, documentation, and governance.
Minimum qualifications include 7+ years of procurement or vendor‑management experience, with at least 4 years focused on technology procurement, and a proven record of negotiating complex SaaS, cloud, and hardware agreements. Candidates must have strong analytical and financial modeling skills, excellent communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities. Preferred experience includes supporting AEC organizations, familiarity with tools such as Autodesk, Microsoft, Salesforce, and hands‑on work with P2P platforms, ERP systems, e‑signature solutions, and vendor‑risk platforms.
SOM offers a competitive salary range of $140,000‑$160,000, 401(k) matching, comprehensive health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, and flexible work arrangements including paid family leave and backup care. Professional development is supported through reimbursements for licenses, renewals, and exam fees. Our inclusive culture encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we are proud to be an equal‑opportunity employer.
