Perform in-field calculations for construction stakeout and various land surveys with minimal assistance from office support team.
Maintain, transport, and operate the instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing the job site for a survey.
Plan and perform advanced field surveys within the defined project scope and budget, using the most efficient methods, and in accordance with applicable standards of practice.
Prepare or receive from the PM, the Health, and Safety Checklists. Review and instruct other crew personnel on all safety hazards, PPE, etc. associated with the work being performed.
Mentor and train junior field staff to facilitate career advancement.
Operate and maintain the survey vehicle in accordance with the Company vehicle manual.
Interact with project site supervisors and client field representatives.
Prepare accurate, detailed field notes and reports of daily activity in a timely manner.
