The Battery & Charger Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing motive power equipment. This position conducts basic troubleshooting, field and shop repairs, and responds to customer needs. Training is provided, but some mechanical experience is required. - Perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot battery and charger systems.
- Repair equipment at customer locations and Concentric shops.
- Respond promptly to client needs with strong customer service.
- Complete work order and customer documentation per SOPs.
- Follow all safety requirements.
- Meet safety, efficiency, work order completion, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution targets.
- Build strong workplace relationships emphasizing customer satisfaction.

The role requires regular use of approved PPE, frequent walking, reaching, and handling tools, and occasional lifting of up to 100 lb. Employees must maintain close vision and situational awareness in varied work environments.
Work is performed at customer sites, Concentric facilities and alongside co‑workers, with exposure to live electrical components and moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
- Work independently or collaboratively in a professional manner.
- Achieve >90 % billable time through effective time management.
- High School or GED (automotive/trade school graduates considered).
- Pass background check and drug screen.
- Knowledge of basic AC/DC electrical theory.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to organize work and operate with limited supervision.
- Ability to work with diverse individuals and remote offices.
- Clear written and verbal articulation for internal/external customers.
- Adapt to a fast‑changing environment.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Preferred material handling experience (not required).
