Intern, Production (Summer 2026)

Description

The role requires adherence to ethical, safety, and environmental standards, operating and maintaining plant equipment such as crushers, screens, conveyors, and heavy off‑road machinery, and assisting with blasting operations by laying out drill patterns and loading shots. The employee will become familiar with aggregate mine operations and the traits of high‑performing managers at Martin Marietta, ensuring all activities align with the company's mission, vision, values, policies, procedures, and Code of Ethical Business Conduct.

• Adhere to and enforce prescribed ethical, safety, and environmental measures.
• Operate and maintain plant equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, and heavy off‑road machinery.
• Assist in the blasting process by laying out drill patterns and loading shots.
• Study the traits of high‑performing managers at Martin Marietta.
• Ensure activities align with the company's mission, vision, values, policies, procedures, and Code of Ethical Business Conduct.

Requirements

Applicants must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management and hold a valid driver’s license. No prior full‑time experience is required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to learn technical processes, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and thrive in a fast‑paced production environment.
