The Maintenance Operator is responsible for maintaining all emulsion and asphalt terminal equipment. The ideal candidate will operate and understand all plant machinery, safely enter confined spaces, and use pressure washers and vacuum equipment to clean tanks, boilers, trailers, and related assets at various locations.
The position involves loading and unloading emulsified asphalt, performing routine preventive maintenance, operating boilers, heaters, oxidizers, and other plant equipment, and ensuring proper tank cleaning, debris removal, and product testing. Employees must adhere to safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards, attend safety meetings, keep basic records, and be prepared to work overtime or travel to other sites as needed.
Candidates must be fluent in English, possess basic math and computer skills, and be familiar with hand and power tools. OSHA 10‑hour safety training, knowledge of boiler or hot‑oil heater operations, and the ability to work independently in dirty, adverse conditions are required.
