- Producing and design checking deliverables that conform to all applicable industry engineering codes and standards as well as the client’s policies and procedures relative to the equipment being specified. Sound knowledge of relevant commonly used codes therefore required.
- Provide value adding knowledge to constructability reviews and take consideration of layout restrictions, ergonomics, safety, utilities and maintainability.
- Coordinating and controlling vendor document submissions and reviews.
- Liaise closely with other disciplines to ensure all equipment requirements are addressed in the design, specification of equipment, construction sequencing and commissioning.
- Producing and design checking installation sequence drawings, weight control reports and structural detail drawings
- Generating and design checking 3D models using Plant 3D.
- Performing studies, FEED, and detail design of structural fabrications in an EPC environment or client role.
