You will work primarily with independent‑living customers over 55, engaging them in their tenancies and maintaining health‑and‑safety compliance. Responsibilities include assisting with housing benefit claims, issuing warning letters and notices, and where required attending court. You will also turnaround vacant or void properties within set timescales to maximise occupancy.
The ideal candidate has experience managing a housing‑management caseload, overseeing landlord duties, re‑letting rooms, collecting rents and taking formal tenancy action when needed. You should be able to lead the team, offer guidance to colleagues, work on your own initiative, and demonstrate a proactive, organized, ‘can‑do’ attitude.
The Housing Management Coordinator role is paid £13.21 per hour (£25,838 per annum) and is a fixed‑term six‑month full‑time position (37.5 hours per week) working Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm, based in Harlow, Essex. The role does not include a Certificate of Sponsorship.
You will join a passionate team of Carol, Julie and eleven other Housing Management Coordinators, contributing to one of the UK’s top‑10 Great Places to Work.
The role offers flexible working hours between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday, and you will spend time on‑site ensuring safety compliance, reporting and completing repairs, and supporting customers via welfare calls and rent queries. You will use technology to keep health‑and‑safety files up to date, make benefit claims and process tenancy sign‑ups. A business‑insured vehicle is required and mileage will be reimbursed; an enhanced DBS check is mandatory and will be paid for by the employer.
