The primary function of this position is to assist in the construction and installation of a utility‑grade solar project throughout all phases of construction.
The employee reports to a management‑approved supervisor and performs general labor duties such as preparing work areas, cleaning construction sites, controlling traffic, and signaling equipment operators. Tasks include digging and backfilling trenches, compacting earth to grade specifications, pulling wire through trenches, and performing hand‑tool work on PV solar racks. The role requires maintaining equipment and company property in a clean condition and being able to assist with any aspect of building a PV solar system under various weather conditions.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and candidates must be at least 18 years old. The job demands the ability to work in extreme outdoor environments, possess full mobility in the upper and lower body, and perform physical tasks such as lifting 50 lb, standing, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive arm use for more than 80 % of the workday. Availability for 8–12‑hour shifts, 40 hours per week, overtime, and occasional night shifts is required.
Regular and reliable attendance is required, along with a collaborative attitude and a positive, professional appearance. Employees must keep their work area tidy, be flexible with work hours, wear required personal protective equipment, and comply with OHSA safety regulations.
