- 2-years’ experience in commercial & residential roofing, preferably in the field of slate and sheet metal roofing
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be able to work with and use different types of hand and power tools
- Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance for base access or other Federal projects
- Having a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record of 4 points or less is preferred but not required.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and from ladders, man lifts, scaffoldings etc
- Must be able to transport materials and or equipment from the ground to the roof.
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- The Durable Slate Company is a Drug Free workplace, and candidates must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, as well as occasional random screening as needed
- Paid in house and on the job training
- Health, Vision, Dental Insurance and 401(k) after 90 days, employer pays 50% of premium
- Paid safety and OSHA compliance training
- Paid travel time, hotel and per diem provided
- Quarterly bonuses for perfect attendance, Saturdays worked and days worked out of town
- Hourly rate negotiable, based on experience $20-30/hr.
