Perform mechanical repairs to the system as assigned by the System Supervisor
Assist Department when necessary to cover absenteeism & vacation.
Maintain a steady flow of material on the line via screen angles, disk and conveyor speeds. Ensure that there is always a good balance of fiber and containers on the line.
Review and document the result of system checks all suggestions to be given to Supervisor.
Comply with company rules, policies and procedures.
Daily inspection of all system during system warm up to ensure safe and efficient start-up.
Accurately document system downtime and necessary repairs that must be made on system that are observed during operations on forms provided. Forms are to be submitted to supervisor.
Ensure that work areas are kept clean and organized.
Ensure all aspects of system are operating properly during production (ie film hood, bag breaker and drumfeeders)
Must be in communication with other operators to assist in operational changes to ensure the efficient operation of the system.
Communicate with administrative, plant and supervisory staff as required.
Report absenteeism to your Manager via telephone, text or email.
Provide and/or participate in training as required.
Ensure specialty equipment such as screens, Eddy Currents, and drumfeeders are cleaned before system start-up
Be sure to include comments in deficiency reports about any observations to potential maintenance issues.
