Focuses on creating and managing affordable housing communities across the U.S.
Monitor and ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations, including Project Based Section 8 HUD, LIHTC, and other programs. Maintain tenant files and computer records, review and approve move-in and transfer files, and perform audits.
Review completed recertification to ensure program compliance
Monitor waitlists, LAP plans and EIV master binders for compliance with federal and state regulations
Hold weekly office hours to assist the operations teams with questions, file corrections and audit corrections
Maintaining proper maintenance of tenant files and computer records to ensure accuracy according to HUD and LIHTC regulations
Submit and assist in the drafting and review of timely responses to agency audits; coordinate with Affordable Programming as needed
Assist analysts with annual reporting as needed

Independently review and approve move-in and transfer files to ensure applicants meet income and program eligibility criteria
Perform both onsite and remote audits to confirm compliance with program requirement through follow-up and closure

Review initial qualifying files for accuracy and program compliance and submit to third-party reviewers; Track qualification status and works with the Director of Compliance to provide clear and accurate reporting on lease-ups, move-ins, etc.
Monitor and implement changes in HUD and LITHC regulations and other state and local requirements

COS certification minimum required, HCCP preferred
Remain familiar with current U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ever changing Federal Regulations as they relate to Affordable Housing programs
Proven ability to build trust with members of a community with different backgrounds, motivations, and concerns in order to obtain information and solve problems
Ability to travel at least once per month, as well as, on an as needed basis (may include up to 30% travel)
5+ years of relevant experience with Project Based Section 8 HUD, LIHTC and other affordable housing programs is required
