Senior Superintendent

Description

The position involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities related to the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems, from conceptual development through scheduling, budgeting, implementation, and completion.

• Lead site superintendents and ensure project schedule adherence.
• Establish and maintain a strong safety culture, monitoring compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Confer with supervisors, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve work procedures, complaints, or construction issues.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction activities to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress, and cost tracking reports.
• Inspect projects for compliance with construction documents, building, safety, and environmental codes.
• Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
• Investigate damages, safety incidents, or delays to ensure proper procedures.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
• Develop and implement quality control programs.

Requirements

• Require a bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of progressive relevant experience.
• Physical ability to navigate construction sites, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate tools and equipment.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain manual dexterity, hearing, visual acuity, and mental focus.
• Capability to work under stress, make quick decisions, and sustain concentration on short deadlines.
• Endurance to work in varied weather conditions while enforcing safety protocols and PPE requirements.
