Adhere to company standards for quality assurance and quality control as defined in the quality manual
Prepare Phase II engineering plans and specifications for stormwater management systems, including drainage systems, detention facilities, culverts, and other related infrastructure
Utilize hydraulics and hydrology modeling software to analyze and evaluate the impacts of various proposed improvements
Train and/or mentor junior staff
Represent the company at public meetings, conferences, interviews, and industry events
Serve as the drainage and stormwater technical lead on major transportation and infrastructure projects, overseeing all aspects of design and coordination
Design, analyze, and review grading plans, flow calculations, detention pond sizing, storm sewer capacities, and other civil site design elements
Participate in project scoping, fee estimating, proposal preparation, interviews, and negotiations
Provide technical guidance and oversight for drainage and stormwater design, including preparation and review of calculations, models, plans, specifications, and details

Experience with alternative delivery projects
Demonstrated ability to produce comprehensive drainage plans, including plans, profiles, detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, estimates, and all necessary documentation
Proven experience using drainage design and hydraulics/hydrology modeling software, including Open Roads Designer & StormCAD, PondPack, HY-8, HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, and other industry-standard tools
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead teams to successfully complete tasks and projects
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
Working knowledge of Bentley Systems roadway design software used to prepare engineering and design documents including Open Roads and Open Roads Designer (ORD)
Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
Experience with Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois Tollway drainage design requirements, policies, and procedures
Minimum of 12 years of experience in roadway stormwater drainage design
