The Road Mechanic role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet that primarily includes aerial work platforms, construction tools, and, at specialty locations, large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, and oil‑&‑gas equipment. Technicians are expected to perform their work safely and efficiently to minimize downtime.

Compensation ranges from $24.05 to $33.06 per hour, with the final rate depending on location, education, training, and experience.
