As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and components for various engineering projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that electrical designs meet both functional and safety requirements, while also adhering to project timelines and budget constraints.

  • Provide technical support during the manufacturing, testing, and commissioning phases of projects.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical audits to ensure high standards of quality and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during development and operational phases.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure designs are compliant with all relevant codes and guidelines.
  • Perform calculations and analysis to ensure the feasibility and compliance of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical design with other engineering disciplines.
  • Design, develop, and optimise electrical systems and components for offshore and onshore projects.
  • Prepare detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and specifications to support engineering designs.

  • Strong technical knowledge of offshore equipment and systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience in electrical design, preferably in offshore or marine industry.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar).
  • Willingness to travel to offshore sites and customer locations worldwide as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEC, ATEX, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Experience with safety-critical and high-voltage systems
