The Cyber Assessments Analyst at NiSource is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the company's Cyber Assessments program—also known as Third Party Risk Management—and providing technology support for enterprise Archer and Fortress solutions. This role collaborates with Enterprise Compliance, IT, Supply Chain, and business teams to ensure effective risk mitigation and compliance.
Key duties include managing the roadmap for Cyber Assessments, Archer, and Fortress control assessments, supporting and executing the assessment program with a defined methodology, and coordinating independent assessments such as penetration tests, NIST CSF, PCI and mock regulatory reviews. The analyst also conducts independent cyber assessments, creates business‑aligned plans, and ensures that supply‑chain processes and review objectives are met within budget and timelines.
As the Control Assessments analyst, the incumbent contributes to product direction, leverages the Archer/Fortress tools for business benefit, and drives process improvement. They also monitor audit issues, facilitate issue tracking and resolution, and advance Archer adoption for risk, compliance, policy monitoring, and additional use cases.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 1‑2 years of compliance or IT support experience, solid computer skills, and familiarity with NIST 800‑53 v5, NIST CSF, and ITIL concepts. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities are essential, as is willingness to travel, participate in process‑improvement initiatives, and follow project‑management fundamentals.
Preferred qualifications include experience with the Archer GRC tool, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, ServiceNow, and an ITIL V4 certification.
