Senior Director of Professional Services

Description

The Senior Director of Professional Services will lead day‑to‑day operations of a large, multiyear IT services portfolio and a staff‑augmentation business in New Mexico. This hands‑on leadership role oversees implementation, client onboarding, solution design, training, and scheduling while fostering operational excellence and organic growth. The director will mentor senior consultants and project managers, manage P&L, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align resources and expectations.

• Lead and mentor principal consultants, project managers, and delivery teams, including seasonal contractors.
• Define and enforce delivery management processes to ensure predictability, quality, and on‑time execution.
• Oversee resource planning, matrixing, allocation, change management, and scalable staffing models.
• Manage P&L for the professional services portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability targets.
• Enable project managers with staffing, tools, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Serve as executive sponsor, traveling to client sites to strengthen relationships and keep projects on track.
• Participate in sales to scope and resource engagements; support SOW and change order creation.
• Identify and launch new consulting service offerings and pursue organic growth opportunities.
• Drive improvements in hiring, onboarding, delivery, and post‑implementation processes; develop scalable training strategies.
• Optimize internal tools and technologies (e.g., LMS, automated scheduling) and monitor KPIs for service delivery and client success.
• Lead recruiting efforts, manage personnel, and provide coaching to develop team capabilities.
• Bring deep expertise in SDLC, agile, DevOps, and cloud platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Develop and implement scalable solutions and training programs.
• Recruit and coordinate staff across multiple projects efficiently.

Requirements

• Demonstrate strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and revenue acceleration.
• Exhibit cross‑functional leadership influencing executives, customers, and partners on strategic initiatives.
• Nice to have: experience delivering IT solutions for engineering firms.
