Assist field survey crew, collect data, maintain equipment, and support CAD tasks.

Tasks

-Record accurate and clear surveying notes -Must operate equipment, maintain safe work environment, protect and maintain the equipment and vehicles, accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features -Responsible for assisting the Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew -Adhere to the company’s Safety, Quality Management and Equipment Maintenance policies -Set wooden stakes and iron rods, cut and clear brush, trees, etc. -Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff -Assisting Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, survey research, boundary analysis, easement preparations, legal descriptions, and computing survey points

What You Bring

-Requires a lot of walking outside year-round through all kinds of terrain and in extreme heat and cold -Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, construction staking -Full use of Microsoft Office -Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk long distances -Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments -Strong listening, writing, and verbal communication skills -Prior experience with survey field work -Familiar with GIS processes and terminology -High school diploma or GED required -Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D for production activities -Currently enrolled in an associates or bachelor’s degree program in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related area of study -Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural or urban surroundings -Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode -Ability to manage multiple tasks, project coordination, maintain organizational structures, and interact with other design services
