Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
Layout lighting fixtures on plans and demonstrate fundamental knowledge of lighting concepts.
Assist in the development of project specifications.
Perform lighting calculations and develop models using a lighting photometric program such as AGi32.
Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
Prepares construction plans with ORD and AUTOCAD Civil 3D for signalization, signing and pavements marking, lighting, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
Uses FDOT’s Florida Design Manual, Standard Plans, Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, and Florida Greenbook to prepare plans.
Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
Provide Electrical service design for Lighting and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) design projects.
Prepare engineer’s estimates using the Basis of Estimates, Cost per Mile models, Historic Costs, and FDOT’s Long Range Estimates (LRE) software.
Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Performs quality control reviews of discipline - specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
