  • Both at the outset and as work progresses, liaise with the SLEP Centre Supervisor / Equipment Sustainability Manager, on the range of expected work, providing clarity and understanding of likely timescales and associated costs.
  • Repair, maintain, inspect and service Plant and HGV equipment and associate ancillaries with current company standards and LOLER and PUWER legislation.
  • Using existing processes, collecting and input management information arising from maintenance and transaction activity, as required.
  • Maintain local stocks of spares, CES, ancillaries, attachments, and local technical documentation, as appropriate.
  • Will be required to undertake out of hours duties including weekend work as required.
  • Ensure that safe systems of work are adopted and company Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality policies are read, always understood, and adhered to.
  • Complete all related job and service documentation with accurate data and all necessary signatures/documents obtained from the customer.
  • Identify any further work required on the equipment and liaise with the SLEP Centre Supervisor. Follow the NFW&T process for any damage found, to ensure the customer is made aware of the fact. The engineer should ensure that they identify potential revenue for equipment that has been damaged.

  • City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in mechanical engineering
  • Authorised to mentor WFA and MoD maintainers and users, within limits of own qualification, ability, and knowledge.
  • Ability in loading and unloading of equipment, tools, STTE and spares.
  • Able to maintain periods of intense workload.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience in construction related plant/MHE/HGV maintenance.

  • Experience in diagnosis techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety, LOLER and PUWER regulations
  • Will be required to achieve local, or team placed goals and KPI’s.
  • Valid passport as potential for occasional travel to overseas locations.
