Description

Work with shop leadership to improve fixturing, tooling, and workflow.
Maintain accurate shop routing for costing and job control.
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Inspect workpieces and document defects.
Record setup hours, task hours, and material usage.
Read and use precision measuring tools (micrometers to 0.0005”).
Perform minor machine maintenance and report issues promptly.
Perform basic structural steel welding as needed.
Help develop more efficient machining methods and routing processes.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.

High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Gear Hobbing
Vertical Turret Lathe (Bullard) experience (preferred)
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Manual lathe experience (required)
Experience in elevator or motor shop work is a plus
Trade school or apprenticeship experience (preferred)
Gear hobbing or worm & gear cutting experience (preferred)
Teamoriented with good communication skills (Spanish bilingual a plus)
5+ years' experience in a machine shop environment (required)
Vertical Turret Lathe (Bullard) Operation
Takes initiative and solves problems proactively
Strong adaptability and willingness to learn
