As a Maintenance Technician III at C&W Services, you will perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on automated conveyor and sortation systems in a high‑volume grocery fulfillment and distribution center. The role drives equipment reliability, resolves failures quickly to minimize impact, and supports continuous‑improvement initiatives while also maintaining base building systems.
Key responsibilities include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting all conveyor systems, installing and servicing relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, sensors, motor starters, and other equipment, and managing work orders with detailed labor and parts data. You will lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures, mentor junior technicians, and maintain positive communication across the operations facility.
Basic qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, at least four years of experience with material handling equipment, preventative maintenance, and reading blueprints, plus three years of CMMS usage and two years with PLC programs. Experience in a team‑lead capacity, vendor management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are also needed, along with the ability to work flexible schedules.
Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields and experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
Physical demands involve reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, using aerial lifts, and lifting up to 50 lb regularly, as well as wearing required PPE and moving between departments covering 6–12 miles per day.
