Maintenance Team Lead

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Team Leader will play a pivotal role in managing daily maintenance activities, leading a high-performing team, and contributing to the overall reliability and efficiency of the site.

Occupli are delighted to exclusively partner with a leading FMCG multinational to recruit for a Maintenance Team Leader. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all site equipment and systems.

• Daily Team Leadership: Assist in managing and directing day-to-day activities of the maintenance team, setting priorities, assigning tasks, and ensuring minimal disruption to production.
• IWS (Integrated Work Systems) Maintenance Lead: Actively coach and support teams in the implementation of IWS, drive process improvements, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Deputising for the Maintenance Manager: Assume full maintenance management responsibilities during absences, ensuring seamless operations and performance.
• Collaboration & Alignment: Participate in regular cross-functional meetings to align maintenance goals with broader operational and business objectives.
• Maintenance Execution: Oversee both planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal plant performance.

• Demonstrated leadership experience within a maintenance or engineering team.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in equipment and system maintenance.
• City & Guilds qualification or equivalent (Electrical qualification strongly preferred).
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage shifting maintenance needs effectively.
