Mechanical Engineer - MEP

Description

As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in MEP design, you’ll contribute to the full project lifecycle - from concept through construction.

• Perform engineering calculations and design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for building projects
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems
• Stay current with applicable building codes, energy standards, and industry best practices
• Assist senior engineers and project managers in delivering projects on time and within budget
• Develop drawings, models, and specifications using Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Conduct site visits, field surveys, and construction administration duties
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support contractors during project execution

Our client, a multidisciplinary engineering firm in Raleigh, NC is looking for a skilled engineer to join in designing innovative, sustainable, and efficient building systems across a wide range of project types — from healthcare and commercial to education, retail, industrial, government, and mixed-use developments.

• Familiarity with building codes, ASHRAE standards, NEC, and other applicable design standards
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Cutting-Edge Tools: Hands-on experience with Revit and AutoCAD to produce high-quality design documents
• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD required
• EIT certification required; PE licensure preferred
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• MEP Experience Required in Various Project Types
