The position is a night‑shift security and support role for vulnerable tenants in supported housing. You will be the first point of contact when the wider team or the residents’ own support networks are unavailable, ensuring the building remains safe, secure and welcoming.
- Patrol premises overnight to check fire doors, locks and overall security.
- Monitor CCTV and respond to suspicious activity, raising alarms and contacting emergency services when required.
- Provide first‑line support to vulnerable customers when other staff or support networks are unavailable.
- Perform basic cleaning tasks such as mopping or sweeping to keep the building tidy.
- Record incidents and updates using monitoring technology.
- Observe and note changes in behavior, using people insights to identify potential issues.
- Intervene sensitively when situations begin to deteriorate.

- Demonstrate strong communication skills and remain calm under pressure.
- Show experience or an interest in supporting vulnerable or public‑service users.
- Own a reliable vehicle insured for business purposes.
- Work independently while having full backup from the wider out‑of‑hours emergency support team.
- Pass an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by the employer).
