The manager will lead a high‑performing audit team, providing coaching, training and mentorship to build leadership and technical expertise. Partnering with executive leaders, they will align audit strategy with enterprise risk priorities, oversee a comprehensive audit plan, manage resources, and drive proactive project management. They will guide teams in using analytics, automation and advanced methodologies, review audit deliverables for accuracy and standards compliance, and champion continuous improvement through lessons‑learned sessions. Additionally, they will monitor management action plans, ensure timely remediation, and stay ahead of emerging regulations to adapt audit procedures.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, IT, cybersecurity or a related discipline and bring at least ten years of internal audit experience, including two years in a leadership role, preferably within a Fortune 500 or Big 4 environment. Preferred certifications include CPA, CIA, CISA or CISM, and strong knowledge of frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, COBIT and CIS Controls. A solid understanding of IT operations, IAM, asset management, cybersecurity and data privacy is required, along with the ability to travel 15‑20% internationally. Desired experience includes audit tools (AuditBoard, Workiva), energy‑sector exposure, legal and regulatory expertise, and strong communication, project‑management and continuous‑improvement mindsets.
