Description

• Prepare design drawings and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Coordinate with agency staff and internal teams on designs, analysis, and issues.
• Prepare entitlement documents for tentative maps, vacations, zone changes, and entitlements.
• Calculate quantities using Microsoft Excel and draft justification letters in Word.
• Assist with construction drawings, including grading plans, profiles, details, storm drain, water, sewer, signage, and striping plans.
• Proactively pursue design solutions.
• Maintain a good reputation with peers, clients, and agencies.
• Follow firm policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

The Graduate Engineer III will join a dynamic team supporting a licensed Civil Engineer, learning Westwood's standard practices and local agency codes while becoming proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D. This role is a stepping stone toward a Professional Engineering license and requires organization, self‑motivation, and the ability to collaboratively solve complex issues on time and within budget.

• Strong communication and active listening with team members and clients.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
• Technical competence to complete engineering tasks.
• Detail‑oriented yet able to think big‑picture.
• 2‑4 years experience in commercial or single‑family residential development.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Engineer‑in‑Training certification or ability to obtain within 6‑12 months.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D.
