  • Communicate and coordinate with equipment vendors and contractors
  • Summarize and interpret data collected as part of the field investigations and monitoring studies with guidance from senior design team members
  • Field monitoring, inspection and assessment of various water infrastructure and natural systems
  • Assist in developing detailed design documents including technical drawings, specifications, calculations and contract documents for multi-discipline projects
  • Engineering Inspections: Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical report development including inspections and assessments, asset management, health and safety, environmental assessments, and detailed design reports
  • Construction management activities including on-site inspections, construction oversight, and construction contract administration
  • Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Assist in development, coordination and implementation of field investigation programs performed by subcontractors or internal technicians and other field personnel
  • Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.

  • Class G Driver’s License
  • Strong computer skills including experience with the Microsoft suite, and familiarity with AutoCAD
  • 0-2 years of relatable experience, ideally on modelling, design or construction of stormwater management infrastructure, drainage systems or watercourse restoration
  • Bachelor or Master of Applied Science in Engineering (Civil or Environmental), Water Resources.
  • General Experience: Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months) is a plus
  • Experience and interest in infrastructure projects with a focus on stormwater, water and wastewater systems
  • Strong technical report writing and communication skills
