Act as contract owner for rotating equipment and electrical suppliers
Collaborate across teams for troubleshooting, failure analysis, and defect elimination

Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team: 5 Rotating Equipment Engineers, 2 Specialists, 3 Electrical Engineers, and 9 contractors supporting 10 operating assets
Manage team budget and ensure effective resource allocation
Ensure compliance with AMS processes, including Reliability Centred Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, Management of Change, Ensure Safe Production and Proactive Technical Monitoring
Develop and optimize equipment care strategies aligned with Strategic Asset Management Plans (ESAMP)
Continuously grow the transferable skills you need to get ahead
Deliver technical requirements for execution organizations, including turnaround and maintenance, and provide assurance during execution
Provide technical input to Asset Care Plans (ACPs), including life extension and obsolescence strategies

This is an onsite local position, and the candidate must be willing to relocate to New Orleans. Relocation assistance will be provided by Shell
Successful completion of Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) will be required after joining Shell
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Must be able to meet physical fitness requirements necessary for offshore work
Must demonstrate technical expertise in rotating equipment machinery to be able to get certified as most senior technical expert in Shell system
At least 15 years of industry experience in Rotating Equipment preferably in operating assets combined with 5 years of leadership experience managing technical team
Ability to mentor and develop technical staff
Must be willing to travel as required, with approximately 25% travel anticipated. This position also involves occasional offshore travel, typically requiring 3–4 days offshore trip, based on business needs
