Prepare engineering estimates to support quoting and budgets
Plan and execute test strategies for non-active surgical implants, with a strong focus on orthopedic implants (e.g. hip, knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow, spinal) and dental implants.
Use CAD software to design and build fixtures and test setups
Ensure compliance with ASTM/ISO standards and internal quality procedures
Revise existing and create new quality management documents
Act as a technical liaison with customers from initial contact to test report delivery, ensuring excellent client experience throughout the testing process
Coordinate technicians and assistants during test execution
Optimize and maintain existing test setups; develop new setups for advanced orthopedic testing
Develop, maintain, and update internal lab operating procedures

Candidates must possess the following traits
Experience in medical device testing is highly desirable
Familiarity with ISO 17025 and regulated environments
Be as comfortable working with tools as working on a keyboard
Minimum of three years of engineering experience related to mechanical testing
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related fields, Master’s degree preferred
Ideally, you already have experience in working in a regulated environment (QM experience) and/or with normative (testing) procedures
Communicates clearly, proactively and professionally
Strong communication skills and proven ability to deliver excellent customer experience
Effective at multitasking
CAD skills (UG or SolidWorks) preferred
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving testing requirements
