Overview
Born in Australia, Martinus grew from a regional rail specialist into a global railway infrastructure powerhouse in under two decades.
Its vertically-integrated model spans feasibility, engineering, construction, operations and maintenance across continents.
Distinctive in-house fleets—locomotives, ballast wagons, welding units—boost efficiency and control in every project.
Martinus has delivered major works like Sydney Metro Southwest, Inland Rail (Albury-Parkes), City Rail Link and US acquisitions.
Expertise covers civil works (bridges, earthworks, drainage), track systems, signalling, overhead wiring and power.
International reach includes Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Chile and beyond through acquisitions and alliances.
A reputation for turnkey delivery under varied contract models—Alliance, Design-&-Construct, early-involvement schemes—sets it apart.
Unusual for its size, Martinus self-owns and operates heavy plant, reducing reliance on subcontractors and boosting project control.
