The Systems Operations Engineering (SOE) Engineer supports the Duke Energy Carolinas Energy Control Center and the Reliability Coordinator function as defined by NERC. The role develops daily, weekly, and seasonal operating studies and reliability assessments to ensure compliance with all applicable Reliability Standards and Operating/Interconnection Agreements. Positions are hired at either Engineer I (entry level) or Engineer II (intermediate) based on experience.
Work is performed in a hybrid model after onboarding, requiring a reasonable commute to the designated Duke Energy facility. Employees must obtain NERC certification, and relocation assistance is available when applicable.
