The Senior QA Test Engineer leads end‑to‑end quality for the company's Web, Mobile, and other application portfolios. This role designs and implements new automated test strategies and frameworks, while also creating and planning both manual and automated tests to optimize testing of complex applications. The engineer demonstrates innovation, leadership, mentorship, and strong technical and programming skills, operating within Agile or other methodologies to support a Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
Key responsibilities include coaching and mentoring QA engineers, reviewing product specifications, and developing test strategies, detailed test plans, and test architectures. The role builds, executes, and maintains automated test frameworks for integration testing across applications, devices, and platforms using languages such as JavaScript, C#, or Java, and creates tools for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. It also tracks and prioritizes defects, ensures traceability of test cases to requirements, and collaborates with Agile teams to plan, estimate, schedule, and execute testing, including user‑acceptance testing.
Technical qualifications require experience with HP ALM for test management, Agile tools like Rally or Jira, and JavaScript API testing frameworks such as Frisby or Cucumber. Candidates must have an advanced understanding of open‑source web frameworks (Angular, Bootstrap, Node.js, Express, Selenium, SoapUI, HP UFT) and strong expertise in JavaScript or comparable languages. Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (Amazon, Heroku, Perfecto Mobile, SauceLabs) is also essential.
Minimum requirements include at least three years of software test experience focused on web and mobile applications and test automation. Applicants should be proficient in software automation testing methodologies—regression, functional, unit, integration, performance, and load testing—and have experience testing applications that integrate via RESTful APIs and building automation using the Page/Object design pattern.
