- Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (MicroStation, Inroads, Open Roads Developer, etc.)
- Trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information or situations with discretion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to inspire, motivate, build and manage relationships across the company, and influence decisions from the top down and bottom up
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment
- Completely familiar with and advocates for the company’s standards for quality control and compliance
- Strong experience with project budgeting
- Minimum of 15 years of experience (combination of project management and technical leadership) with proven success as a people leader
- Technically astute and strategic in thinking to properly position the team for strong technical and financial performance and client satisfaction
- Strong ability to resolve matters timely and lead initiatives/projects to completion with a sense of urgency
- An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups
- Proficiency with MS Office software required
- Excellent knowledge of fundamentals in specialty areas
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
- Understands QA/QC procedures and basic business practices as well as laws related to engineering
- Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
