As an Assembler at Anchor Coupling Inc., a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Caterpillar, you will perform repetitive processes using machines and hand tools to assemble component parts into finished couplings. Tasks may include hand assembly, pressing, plating, brazing, cleaning, and visual inspection, with minimal supervision.
- Identify tooling and equipment necessary to perform assigned operation
- Follow start‑up and shut‑down procedures on all equipment, monitor and adjust as necessary, and record actions
- Move materials as required using various methods
- Perform assembly or sub‑assembly processes including ringing, naming, and hand assembly
- Maintain records related to production, downtime, quality, and maintenance
- Visually inspect work and use measuring devices to ensure quality standards
- Recognize operating irregularities or machine malfunctions and correct or notify the proper person
- Set up machines as required
- Instruct and train operators on tasks, safety procedures, equipment use, and ISO 9001/14001 standards
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required
- Meet or exceed production requirements or notify lead/manager of deviations
- Work safely at all times and comply with safety regulations
- Keep work area, equipment, and machines clean and orderly
- Perform computer transactions in various applications and software programs
- Offer suggestions to improve productivity, process, safety, or work environment
- Collaborate as a team member to resolve problems and maintain good working relationships

Candidates should have prior employment or volunteer experience, with a strong preference for manufacturing or assembly background, blueprint‑reading skills, and the ability to use precision measuring equipment. Communication, organizational abilities, SAP experience, and basic computer proficiency are also valued.
