The engineer will be responsible for the technical execution of cathodic protection systems during the EPC phase, collaborating closely with the project execution and integrity teams to ensure alignment with schedule and standards.
- Design, install, test, and commission cathodic protection (CP) systems in accordance with project specifications and AMPP, ISO, and DNV standards.
- Coordinate CP activities with the project execution team, contractors, and integrity specialists to meet schedule milestones.
- Review and approve all CP vendor deliverables, including design documents, material datasheets, FAT reports, construction documentation, testing protocols, commissioning procedures, and startup guidelines.
- Conduct pre‑design site surveys and represent the company during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for critical CP equipment.
- Provide technical solutions for design changes, site issues, or unexpected corrosion challenges and authorize necessary design deviations.
- Review and validate remote monitoring and control software/hardware for integrated CP systems.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and inspection/test plans; supervise on‑site CP installation, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and handover.

The role requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Engineering degree in Corrosion Science, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 15 years of experience with cathodic protection systems in the oil‑and‑gas sector. Ten of those years must be in a senior engineering capacity serving as Technical Authority for projects involving well casings, pipelines, plant piping, storage tanks, process vessels, and concrete‑reinforced structures. Candidates must hold an AMPP/NACE Level III certification (or equivalent) and be fully conversant with AMPP and ISO standards for cathodic protection.
- Required qualifications: ≥15 years CP experience in oil & gas, ≥10 years senior engineering/technical authority, Bachelor’s in corrosion, chemical, electrical or related engineering, AMPP/NACE Level III certification.
