The Project Manager I (PM I) is accountable for all aspects of design‑build/engineer‑procure‑construct projects, including administration of the prime contract, oversight of engineering, design, procurement, scheduling, and construction teams, as well as field office coordination and management of subcontracts and purchase orders. The role may require temporary on‑site supervision of field operations and auditing of subcontractor work for contract compliance.
- Manage integrated Design‑Build/EPC teams from project inception to completion
- Direct and coordinate intermediate and final engineering design and construction activities
- Administer the prime contract, construction subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Ensure compliance with customer safety, quality, and environmental goals
- Plan, execute, and report on overall project performance
- Communicate with customers to maintain satisfaction and coordinate site activities
- Mitigate and resolve potential disputes
- Oversee adherence to project health‑and‑safety and QA/QC plans
- Respond to and manage Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Conduct value engineering and constructability reviews
- Develop procurement status reports and define work segregation for subcontracts and PO packages
- Create subcontractor and supplier scope, price, and schedule exhibits
- Coordinate local bidding efforts with procurement teams
- Oversee procurement of subcontracts and purchase orders, reviewing and approving invoices and submittals
- Develop initial project schedules with design, scheduling, procurement, and field staff
- Monitor progress of conceptual, intermediate, and final engineering design and construction
- Administer changes to the prime contract and develop a schedule of values
- Submit and expedite progress payments
- Prepare and present monthly progress, budget forecast, and schedule management reports
- Manage project close‑out, warranty administration, and post‑construction cost review
- Foster optimal relations among customers, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Train and mentor junior staff

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in business, construction science/management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with at least five years of construction project management experience on DB/EPC power‑delivery projects. They must be well‑versed in engineering, design, construction, contracting, budgeting, safety, and quality assurance processes.
